Worth Reading
by Allison

This is a book definitely worth reading if you are interested in religion and strong in your own faith. I think that before you can truely believe in a faith handed down to us by our parents, it is important to do a little soul-searching and see what other people have to say on the same topics: life, love, and death.
book, religion, soul-searching

Don’t get me wrong here and not to offend you. But, are you not encouraging others to seek a religion in that book that best suits them. Perhaps they find that Budda is the way to go. As a Christian you should direct them to what the word of God really says.
“No man is an island. No man can stand alone. You need Christ, not religion to forgive you of your sins and to get you into heaven. His name is wonderful, counsellor, Prince of Peace.” (Isa.9:6)
Either way you look at it a book won’t help them find themselves, God will. ” For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that who ever believes in him shall not pershish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
In the end, the best book I recommended for those is of course the Bible. NIV or the Amplified Bible in my opinion are great. But, before you go pick up the Bible…..Pray first.Pray that God may give you wisdom and knowledge to understand his word, in the name of Jesus. Read it with an open heart.

Many different people of many different faiths read this blog. I am not encouraging one religion over another, I am simply encouraging love for God. I grew up in a Christian tradition, but I have learned that I can have a much personal relationship with God by questioning the things the church teaches. I will ALWAYS encourage other to do the same, even if that leads them to a religion other than Christianity. God’s love is for everyone, not just Christians.

Understood. God loves us all. I love all those around me as well whether christians or non-christians. But as a christian we all have our duties and my duty is to speak the truth. God will love you regardless of what you do….but you will disappoint him for worshipping or seeking another God. But with the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ you will be forgiven of that and led into the right path.DOn’t get me wrong my friend,I have been where most of you are. Always seeking, wanting to know the real truth. Unlike you, I didnt grow up in a Christian home, as a matter of fact, My parents are still catholic. But, I have found the light and have been saved from my darkness and confussion.
Since this is an open chat with many different people then I feel fine voicing my own opinion.
Many blessings, your sister in Christ,
