Wedding Readings

Yesterday at church, one of our readings was from first Corinthians. I’m sure that you all know it, especially if you’d been to a wedding: “Love it patient, love is kind…”

It got me thinking, why do so many people use this text at their weddings? Of course, it is beutiful, but aren’t there many equally beautiful readings from the Bible? Aren’t there many equally beautiful readings in general?
